Yesssss our financial goals change as we grow and learn more and discover what really makes us happy! We inherit so many ideas about what we “should” want from money and work and then have to unpack all that by living and building a relationship with money and work (and risk) that suits us and our lifestyle.
I am sharing in the dream of a place outside of nyc 🥲 we’ll get there one day!! I hear the north fork of long island is nice but not so walkable :/ if you find a place lmk I love having concrete visuals for dreaming
Yes everything out there is nice but so expensive!! Honestly the closest I’ve found is Maine, but not exactly an easy Amtrak ride. And yes omg I’ve spent way too much time looking at places on Zillow that are so out of reach right now!!
The barista fire plan seems way more doable and enjoyable on many levels. Never heard of it before. I always thought the Fire movement was a little on the crazy side. I think my only long term financial goal is to have a savings account that is truly not needed for anything. Not investments, not money earmarked for something else, not emergency money. An account just sitting there saying I'll be here waiting for you for whenever. It may not make financial sense but its something I've always wanted.
You are well on your way to financial success. I have studied this extensively and have 1000s of examples. Since are actively being 'intentional' about your financial choices, I am confident you will achieve all of your financial goals! Best of luck!

Barista FIRE is the way to go! I would also love this.
+1! Financial independence while keeping busy and engaged in a balanced low-stress way is the dream : D
Me, reading you today with my golden hancuffs! LOL
Great point about changing your goals over time. Good luck with the beach house/second home, I am sure you'll get there!
